Problems and solutions caused by cellulose in the use of putty powder

1.Problems that often occur in putty powder

Fast drying: This is mainly due to the addition of gray calcium powder (too large, which can appropriately reduce the amount of gray calcium powder in the putty formula) is related to the water retention rate of the fiber, and is also related to the dryness of the wall.

Peel and curl. This is related to the water retention rate. Low cellulose viscosity is prone to this situation or the added amount is small.

De-powdering of interior wall putty powder: This is related to the amount of gray calcium powder (the amount of gray calcium powder in the putty formula is too small or the purity of the gray calcium powder is too low, appropriately increase the amount of gray calcium powder in the putty powder formula) At the same time, it is also related to the amount and quality of cellulose. It is reflected in the water retention rate of the product. The water retention rate is low. ,caused.

Foaming: This is related to the dry humidity and flatness of the wall, but also to the construction.

The needle point appears. This is related to cellulose, and its film-forming property is poor. At the same time, the impurities in cellulose and gray calcium have a slight reaction. If the reaction is violent, the putty powder will be in the state of tofu residue. It can't be put on the wall, and there is no cohesive force at the same time. In addition, the cellulose is mixed with carboxymethyl and other products.

Volcanic craters and pinholes appear: This is obviously related to the water surface tension of the hydroxypropyl methylcellulose aqueous solution. The water surface tension of the hydroxyethyl aqueous solution is not obvious. It will be good to perform the light collection process.

Putty is easy to crack and yellow after drying: This is related to the increase of gray calcium powder. The increase of gray calcium powder increases the hardness of the putty powder after drying. Only if the hardness is not flexible, it is easy to crack It is easier to crack when exposed to external forces. It is also related to the high content of calcium oxide in gray calcium powder.

2.What happened to the putty being heavy during the batch scraping process

In this case, the viscosity of cellulose generally used is too high. Some manufacturers use 200,000 for putty. The putty produced by this method has a high viscosity, so it feels heavy when scraped. It is recommended to add 3 to 5 kg of internal wall putty and a viscosity of 80,000 to 100,000.

3.Why use the same viscosity cellulose in winter and summer feel the viscosity is difference?

Due to the thermal gelability of the product, the viscosity of the putty and mortar will gradually decrease with increasing temperature. When the temperature exceeds the gel temperature of the product, the product will precipitate out of the water and lose its viscosity. The room temperature in summer is generally above 30 degrees, which is much different from the temperature in winter, so the viscosity should be lower. It is recommended to choose a product with a higher viscosity in the product application in summer, or increase the amount of cellulose, and then choose a product with a high gel temperature. Try not to use methyl cellulose in summer.
